Opinel is a maker of blades for all purposes from cooking to camping. The No.8 blade has been proven to also be very effective as a knife for working on reeds. The blade is stainle ss steel and keeps its edge remarkably well. It also has a special convex profile that allows for the blade to maintain its strength while being quick and easy to sharpen.
