Application Notes Apply Optigard Cockroach Gel Bait with the syringe applicator or a bait injector as a crack-and-crevice or void-space treatment in areas frequented by cockroaches. For light infestations, apply 1 to 2 bait spots per square yard of treatment area. For heavy infestations or larger cockroaches, apply 2 to 4 bait spots per square yard. Each bait spot should be approximately 0.25 to 0.50 grams. A spot about 1/8 inch in diameter equals approximately 0.25 grams, while a spot about 1/4 inch in diameter equals approximately 0.50 grams. Bait may also be applied as a bead approximately 1/8 inch thick and 2 inches long. Place bait in cracks, crevices, voids, corners, and near cockroach harborage or aggregation areas. Inspect placements during follow-up visits and reapply when bait is no longer visibly present.
