This tour will include a local guide and transfer from the hotel with an additional cost of $285 per person. Miyajima (宮島), officially known as Itsukushima, is a small island near Hiroshima famous for its giant torii gate that appears to float on water during high tide—one of Japan’s top scenic views. The island is closely tied to Itsukushima Shrine, with both the shrine and gate built over water. Miyajima has a romantic, peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evening when daytime crowds leave. Visitors often stay in traditional ryokan to enjoy the quiet nights. Wild deer, accustomed to people, roam the island but must not be fed, unlike those in Nara. Show more
