Description Details Documents Optiphen™ Plus is a paraben- and formaldehyde-free preservative, particularly within lower pH systems. Optiphen™ Plus is a liquid preservative that offers effective protection against bacteria, yeast and mold growth. Optiphen™ Plus performs best in formulations below 6.0 pH, however has also been proven effective at pH levels above 6.0, depending on the formulation. This preservative is effective as a stand-alone system and functions well with other preservatives. Optiphen™ Plus has an extensive range of applications in aqueous and emulsion-type personal care formulations and is compatible with most raw materials in the personal care industry. INCI: Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid Usage: • Can be used in a wide variety of personal care formulation for reliable preservation. • Recommended use levels in a finished formulation is 0.75 - 1.5%. • Add at or below 80°C during either pre or post-emulsification.
