How to use: Please note that it may take some adjustment getting used to the feeling of the spikes, start out with a thin cloth over your pillow and mat. It is normal to experience redness after a massage. Head, neck and body massage; Lie on a comfortable surface, a sofa or chair with a back or your bed or the floor. Place the pillow at the nape of your neck so it covers your head, neck and shoulders and lie on the mat ensuring your whole back is covered. Back massage: Place your Chakra-mat on a sofa, bed or floor - bear in mind the harder the surface the deeper the massage, we suggest starting on a softer surface and using a thin sheet or similar until your body gets familiar with Acupressure. Slowly lie on the mat, if you have the pillow place this under the nape of your neck, if not you may use a small pillow of your own for comfort - the Chakra-mat should cover your whole back. Cleaning my Chakra-mat or pillow: Bear in mind that your Chakra-mat or pillow is hand crafted from natural hypoallergenic fibres so the inside should not need cleaning - you can refresh it by removing the inner coconut mattress and airing it outside, and the inner white cotton covering of your pillow can also be aired outside. You can if required wash the outer cover in warm soapy water, if your mat iv old and the spikes need cleaning use an old toothbrush to gently clean the Lotus spikes. Dry flat outside or inside.
