The Orange Yellow Chrome Snapper Series jigs are a solid option for targeting snapper, kingfish, gurnard, trevally, blue cod, and other mid-sized bottom feeders. The orange–yellow–chrome finish gives off good flash and visibility, making it effective across a range of depths and conditions. These jigs can be worked in several different ways: Slow pitch Slow jig High-speed vertical jigging Horizontal jigging / shore pitching Trolled behind the boat A simple and dependable method is letting the jig touch the bottom, then lifting and winding — a technique that often brings on the bite. Each lure comes rigged with super-sharp double assist hooks, strong enough to deal with bigger fish if they turn up. You can add a tail stinger if you want, although it can sometimes lead to multiple fish hooked at once. The lures are hand painted with a durable powdercoat that’s also UV-bright. Shine a UV torch on them and you’ll see the glow — helpful once you’re fishing deeper than 30 metres, where standard colours fade fast. Hand crafted in Matatā, New Zealand.
