There are several pods of Orca that visit the North Isles every year, with around 90% of sightings in the UK coming from reports in the waters off of Orkney and Shetland. These incredible creatures travel between Iceland and the Northern Isles like true Vikings. Teresa Shearer grew up in Orkney and has always had a passion for art which expanded into jewellery after a placement with school. She studied Design and Craft at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, then carrying on to a Postgraduate diploma in Art and Design. She began her designing journey with Aurora in 1997, finding inspiration from nature, landscapes and found objects, all through a contemporary lens.
