Before creating their sensory coffee glasses, wine glasses were already a favorite for their versatility and beauty—and they still return to them often. Inspired by natural wines and their bright acidity and expressive aromatics, OREA designed this glass to celebrate the growing overlap between wine and modern coffee processing. What began as a glass for orange wines quickly became a go-to for both wine and coffee. THE SCIENCEThe shape of the glass creates an ideal environment for aroma and flavor. As you drink, the punt pushes aromas upward and around the nose, enhancing the overall sensory experience. While the exterior appears wide, the interior is actually narrower, helping highlight delicate aromatics in both natural wines and special coffees. The larger surface area at the base also helps keep cold drinks cooler longer and cool hot coffee more quickly to a drinkable temperature. HANDMADEEach glass is handmade from lab-grade borosilicate glass by OREA’s long-term partner factory in Indonesia. Because they are hand-formed rather than moulded, small marks and natural variations are part of the process.The PUNTThe large central punt creates a generous negative space, allowing for a narrow interior while keeping the glass comfortable to hold. It also serves as a visual guide for the ideal fill level, ensuring the right volume for the best sensory experience.
