What Is Your Body’s Metabolism Telling You? Organic acids are byproducts of your body’s core metabolic pathways — and when those pathways are disrupted, symptoms follow. The Organic Acids Test (OAT) by Mosaic Diagnostics measures 76 organic acid markers from a single urine sample, giving you a comprehensive metabolic and nutritional snapshot that few other tests can match. If you’ve been struggling with unexplained fatigue, digestive issues, mood imbalances, or chronic symptoms without clear answers, the OAT can reveal the underlying metabolic contributors. What the OAT Measures The OAT report is organized into clinically meaningful categories: Intestinal Microbial Overgrowth — candida, clostridia toxins, mold exposure, and gut microflora imbalances Oxalate Metabolites — oxalate levels from organisms or dietary sources Mitochondrial Markers (Krebs Cycle) — metabolic efficiency, glucose and amino acid energy utilization Neurotransmitter Metabolites — phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan metabolism linked to mood and cognition Pyrimidine & Fatty Acid Oxidation — folate status, cellular turnover, mitochondrial fat metabolism Nutritional Markers — essential vitamins, antioxidants, and metabolic co-factors Detoxification Indicators — oxidative stress, glutathione sufficiency, methylation function Amino Acid Metabolites — functional nutrient needs or genetic metabolic patterns Mineral Metabolism — phosphate intake and Vitamin D insights Who May Benefit from the OAT?
