Just add to your horse's regular meals. When introducing your horse to ground flaxseeds, it is best to start with a small amount and take 7 to 10 days to build up to the regular dosage. Most of my clients feed approximately two to six ounces by weight of ground flaxseeds per day. That equates to 1 to 3 scoops per day. The enclosed scoop is 1/2 cup (4 fluid ounces), providing 2 ounces, by weight, of ground flaxseeds.
