Our rice is some of the best in the world, it has a deep dark color with a rich nutty flavor. The grains are dark, long and thick, giving the rice a wonderful presentation when served. The rice is grown in the pristine lakes of Northern Manitoba Canada. Available in 1 kg or 2.5kg bags. Why Wild Rice: It is widely considered a superfood It is low in calories and fat It is a true whole grain Gluten free It is high in antioxidants It is high in omega-3 fatty acids Cooking Instructions Combine 1 cup of wild rice blend, 1 ¾ cups of liquid (water or broth) and ½ teaspoon of salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Put the lid on. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and let it simmer for 45-50 minutes or until all the liquid has evaporated. Let it rest on the stovetop for 10 minutes, fluff with a fork, and serve.
