Flavour The za'atar blend combines the nutty flavours of toasted sesame with the sour notes of sumac & warming bitter herbs of oregano, rosemary & thyme. This is the Middle East's version of an all purpose seasoning. Processing Our spice blends are handmade in small batches for added freshness at our processing unit in Bristol. We use minimal salt & sugar where possible and never use additives, fillers or anti-caking agents. Our spice blends are also organic certified & are made using the same spices that we source from our partner farmers. Usage Our za'atar blend is great for sprinkling on flatbreads, adding to eggs or & using in salad dressings. In order to get the best out of our spices, we've included a QR code on the side of the glass jar label. This links back to our website with cooking tips & recipe ideas. The cooking tips give you ideas on how to season your food in different ways with our za'atar blend. The recipe ideas focus around seasonal, vegetarian eating to help with a more balanced, sustainable diet. Packaging All spices are available in both glass jars and refill pouches. Packaging is either recyclable or home compostable. The refill pouches are the exact same quantity as the jars so you only have to buy the jar once, or not at all if you already have your own. Design The main benefit of buying our glass jars are the QR codes & artwork on the labels which is curated and designed by local Bristol artist & illustrator Hannah Grace. Our jars have 4 different designs currently, each representing a landscape where our herbs & spices are grown.
