The Los Angeles collective has been quietly one of the most dedicated practitioners of deep funk and soul on the West Coast since the early 2000s, building a catalog that never cha ses trends. Moonshadows, named for a glossy beachfront Malibu bar where members of the Orgone crew DJed Saturday night sets, is the band's homage to yacht rock, sweater funk, and late night cruises on the Pacific Coast Highway.
