ORIGIN 2026 Oil on canvas 40 x 30 cm 5 000 kr Signed: Malin Sahlén ORIGIN is a work about the first spark of light. In this painting, I wanted to portray the place where everything begins. An inner origin, a source, a luminous point where life force, inspiration and creation awaken. At the centre of the work, the white light appears as Source. Like a star, a sun, a cell or an inner force beginning to move outward. Around Source, layers of bronze, grey, violet, pink, gold and orange move through thick textures. The colours feel like cosmic matter, like energy gathering, vibrating and taking form. The white points of light spread across the surface like stars, particles or sparks of life born from the source. To me, ORIGIN carries the feeling of the moment when something awakens within us. The first impulse of joy, presence and creative force. A movement that begins in stillness, expands through the body and soul and then radiates outward into the world. The work invites the viewer to pause and return to their own inner source. To remember the place within us where light begins. Where movement is born. Where inspiration takes form. Where life whispers its first yes. Show more
