Do you think that sometimes a landscape changes the way you see the world? The inspiration for Tear in the Sky came during my first drive along California's legendary Highway 1 from Long Beach to Bodega Bay. Riding in a convertible beneath an endless blue sky, the Pacific seemed to stretch forever. As the coastline unfolded, the horizon dissolved into the sea and sky, and I found myself seeing the world differently. It was one of the rare moments when nature feels almost beyond explanation. As we continued north, an unexpected thought took hold: What if the sky wasn't the limit at all, but a doorway? We all encounter places that stay with us long after we've left them. My hope is that Tear in the Sky reminds you of one of yours-a place so beautiful it changed, if only for a moment, the way you saw the world. Tear in the Sky was a Finalist in the Human Exhibition at the Stay Gallery.
