This original Austrian Army leather map case is genuine military surplus designed for field map carrying. Historical Design & Construction Issued to post-war Austrian armed forces, this field pouch closely follows classic mid-century European military designs. Made from 100% heavy-duty leather, the case features thick exterior leather with a soft, contrasting light leather interior lining. Historical production stamps, such as 'HB 1960', are often stamped inside the main flap. Internal Layout & Organisation The main compartment comfortably holds A5 notebooks, maps, and field documents. On the front panel, you will find seven leather pen loops alongside a tall vertical sleeve suited for a ruler or utility knife. The top flap covers the front panel entirely and secures tightly with a metal tuck-lock buckle on a perforated leather strap. Field Attachment & Modern Use On the rear, two heavy leather loops with metal pin buckles allow the pouch to attach securely to equipment belts.
