Orlando Richards is a self-taught artist who was born and raised in the Blue Mountains of Portland, Jamaica. He has been experimenting with different art mediums for the past ten y ears and is now excited to be launching his work into the public. Richards is guided to his work by the desire to express, channel, grasp and represent his experiences; some subconscious, some conscious. He explores the process, the medium, color, abstract expressions and characters while working through deep layers of his own experience. This group of drawings and paintings about journey, love, and loss was primarily made here in San Francisco. A few pieces, which date from 2001, were made in Brooklyn. Show more
