size 5” - 6” suspected female based on ventral sexing. Sex is not guaranteed. Originally described in 2022 by Chinese Arachnologist Mingsheng Zhu & Daxiang Song as Citharognathus t ongmianensis. These were previously sold in the hobby as Ornithoctoninae sp. "vendula” before they were described, but were formally moved to the newly established genus Magnacrus in 2025. These incredible spider are found in Vietnam and possibly China and are an obligate burrowing species.
