Each Oro knob is thrown and glazed in a small ceramics workshop, then hand-painted with a delicate gold lattice pattern applied by brush before a final low-temperature firing sets the metallic detail into the glaze. The lattice is drawn freehand — a small imperfection that keeps the piece feeling human rather than machined. The body is high-fired stoneware finished in a spectrum of tones — soft pink, powder blue, sunshine yellow, deep navy — each glaze mixed in the studio to give a rich, saturated colour that reads honestly in any light. The mounting stem is solid brass, threaded for a standard M4 screw (25mm supplied). The metallic lattice is durable and wipe-cleans easily; avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the gold. Works well in: Milanese-leaning kitchens with terrazzo counters, Parisian pied-à-terre bathrooms with brass fittings, considered nurseries where a small hit of colour is welcome, and dressing rooms with lacquered cabinetry. It also does something quietly beautiful against natural oak — the gold picks up the wood tone in a way that reads intentional.
