Orris root tincture is a powdery soft iris product with a marvellous fixative property. It blends very well with fruit notes giving them grounding and naturalisation. It has a long history in perfumery where it joins the other plant based fixatives such as the popular tincture of benzoin and extracts of ambrette seed. Fraterworks produces this tincture in the classical French manner using nothing but rich and buttery dried and powdered iris roots and pure and natural ethanol produced using water from southern alpine glaciers.
