Freenote's Ortega Pant is their take on the classic carpenter's pant, cut with a comfortable high rise and a relaxed straight leg. Not too wide, they're a perfect medium that looks good with boots or sneakers, and feature comfortably roomy thighs and a relaxed top block that fits just about everyone. They're made from a 10oz Japanese HBT (herringbone twill) fabric, with a stiff hand that will soften dramatically over time from wear and washing, changing from a more rigid fabric to something much more relaxed and draping. The directional nature and open weave of HBT allow it to breathe better than other 100% cotton fabrics, making it more comfortable during the hotter seasons of the year. They're packed with all sorts of details, from the usual Freenote fare (flat-felled legs, Japanese fabric pocket bags, custom metal hardware, and 1/8" double-needle sewing details) to the more specialized — the single outer tool pocket, the reinforcements on every pocket, and the lined double knees with debris turnouts.
