Tiger Oscar Cichlid Oscars are what many consider to be tank-busters. They regularly grow to 12"+ in size and require a large amount of swimming space. Oscars can be notoriously te rritorial upon maturity despite seeming rather docile when young so care should be taken when choosing tank-mates. For this reason, they usually do best when kept alone. They come in a variety of patterns, including Tiger, Albino, and Red. Oscars accept a wide variety of water parameters and are fairly undemanding in that regard. They are messy eaters and require good filtration and frequent water changes.
