Even when the space heating is satisfied on the room thermostat on some models, the heat pump may still run on, loading the buffer with highly efficient energy Better Comfort, the Buffer – A ensures the comfort levels in the home are ideal due to continued energy supply when heat pump is diverted elsewhere. It enables some space heating to continue when hot water priority is calling for heat-up. (This could divert the heat pump energy for well over an hour on some models). If a heat pump goes into defrost mode the energised buffer store can maintain some space heating, until the defrost cycle has finished.
