An authentic American Totalisator $10 win ticket from the now defunct Narragansett Race Track in Pawtucket Rhode Island. This 85 year old ticket was " punched" before the U.S had e ven entered WW2. 4 months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. On this very Monday Churchill and Roosevelt were secretly meeting and drawing up The Atlantic Charter. That $10 is equivalent to $226 today. And the company American Totalisator, founded by Harry L Strauss (signature on back of ticket), now known as AmTote is the largest company of its kind in North America. This ticket is a wonderful piece of Americana and history. And being that Narragansett Race Track closed almost 50 years ago(Labor Day 1978), this is a one of a kind piece of history. Show more
