🇩🇪 Premium German Quality | 🇮🇪 Fast Irish Trade Delivery OTTOFLEX® Deep Primer (Tiefengrund) is a professional-grade, synthetic resin dispersion primer based on styrene-butadiene. Engineered for both indoor and outdoor use, this solvent-free formula deeply impregnates substrates to create an exceptionally strong bonding agent for subsequent coatings. It is formulated as an aqueous dispersion featuring an acrylic-acid copolymer with filler and auxiliaries. It significantly improves the load-bearing strength and adhesion of plasters, wall coverings, and commercially available solvent-free tile adhesives. By binding dust and equalizing surface absorbency, it ensures a flawless foundation for high-end tiling and sealing applications. Note that it contains a mixture of 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one and 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, which may produce an allergic reaction. The Master Tiler's Verdict "When you are dealing with highly absorbent cementitious substrates or older anhydrite screeds across Irish job sites, this is the primer you want in the van. Because it is highly concentrated, it dilutes up to 1:2 with water, making it incredibly cost-effective for large commercial floor spans. It locks down dust instantly and provides a rock-solid foundation for solvent-free adhesives." Key Trade Benefits Deep Impregnation: Penetrates and reinforces both absorbent and less absorbent surfaces. Highly Economical: Can be diluted 1:1 or 1:2 with water depending on substrate density. Versatile Bonding: Excellent base for acrylate coatings and solvent-free tile adhesives. Utility: Specifically facilitates the easy removal of wallpapers during renovation work. Transport: Must be stored and transported frost-free. Approved Substrates & Applications Ideal for use within the scope of tile setting according to DIN 18157-1. Substrates must be firm, even, and free of oil, fat, and dust. Gypsum boards, gypsum floors, and gypsum fibreboards. Gypsum and lime-gypsum plasterings. Concrete & cellular concrete. Sand-line brick, bricks & masonry. Anhydrite floors & cement screeds. Melted asphalt screeds, panelling, and self-spreading floor leveling compounds.
