Firmenich's classic Oud Synth 10760 E base has undergone a facelift in order to remove phthalates and furfural for better compliance with customer demands and updated IFRA standards. The odour profile of this new Oud Synth 184007 is very little changed from its predecessor and this is now the only version available from Firmenich. In Firmenich's own words: “A reconstitution of agarwood oil. Intensely woody, animalic and reminiscent of vetiver, with sweet balsamic undertones.” This is one of those oud bases built around a common blend of natural woods with Ambrinol supplying the animalic element. It is a lovely material that blends well with other Oud products. It can be used to add depth and richness to Givaudan's Black Agar Givco.
