The brain-child of artist duo MAP Office (Valérie Portefaix and Laurent Gutierrez) and our Editor-in-Chief, Mara Sartore, the guide is a totally non-profit project created to raise awareness among the international art community on the environment issues related to the sea. It is not a navigation book, but a poetic yet scientific compendium about the seas and the oceans, with the aim of changing the existing dominant tendency to observe the world from the land.
