Ourico Pods originate from the South American tree in the family Lecythidaceace, harvested for the Brazil Nut fruit inside. The Ourico Pod is light brown in coloration, with a dark er variation of brown on the inside. The thick exterior shell has a cork like texture, and measures roughly 4” in diameter. Natural variation will occur with this product. In a bioactive terrarium the Ourico pod creates a natural hide-out in reptile and amphibian habitats. It is suitable for high humidity environments with its all-natural durable properties. Think outside of the box!
