Naviah is a Turkish vintage Oushak Runner. These Turkish carpets are from a particular family of designs, called by convention after the city of Uşak, Turkey – one of the larger to wns in Western Anatolia. Usak was a major center of rug production from the early days of the Ottoman Empire, into the early 20th century. This runner has been made from what was once two large borders of an Oushak rug which have now been sewn together seamlessly. Great condition and beautiful soft tones.
