‘Outer Spaces’, explores the interior and exterior, queasying the viewer between spaces. Inside the painting there are multiple portal-like images, from the window sitting flush wi th the wall on the left, to the cut inside this wall and the light sitting upon the scene, illuminating it from the inside out. Trees stretch between the spaces, dipping in and out of each portal, allowing them to exist within the same reality. This painting explores the push and pull of space, emphasising the presence of light and cutting between realities, looking at what it means to move through and outside an image. Show more
