Lactuca sativa Days to Maturity: 65 Outredgeous lettuce is intensely red, lightly ruffled, and loosely heading. It has a crisp, mild and sweet taste. It was bred by famous seed bre eder Frank Morton of Gathering Together Farm in Oregon. In 2015, NASA selected Outredgeous seeds to be launched into space, to be grown and eaten on the International Space Station! This variety was selected because it had the lowest bacterial count of any of the lettuces tested by NASA. Outredgeous is an Open Source Seed Initiative variety. Planting Instructions: Sow Outredgeous Lettuce seeds outdoors in early spring thru late summer, every 3 weeks. Sprinkle 1/4" soil on top, keep evenly moist until germinated.
