Ouzo of Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis 40% is one of Greece's most iconic spirits, first crafted in 1894 in the coastal town of Plomari on the island of Lesvos. Produced using the original family recipe of Isidoros Arvanitis, it is slowly double distilled in traditional handcrafted copper stills with premium Lisvori aniseed, fennel, Chios mastic, carefully selected Mediterranean botanicals and the soft spring water of the Sedountas River. Its 100% distilled character and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status reflect over a century of authentic Greek distilling tradition. Exceptionally smooth and beautifully balanced, the palate delivers vibrant notes of sweet anise, liquorice, fennel and delicate herbs, complemented by subtle citrus freshness and a long, clean finish. Traditionally enjoyed with chilled water—creating the famous "Ouzo Effect"—it also pairs perfectly with grilled octopus, fresh seafood, olives, feta cheese and classic Greek meze. For the best experience, pour the ouzo first and then add chilled water to fully reveal its rich aromas.
