You can now stay overnight in the The Cage - the former site of the town lockup in St Osyth. We can't guarentee you ghostly happenings, but we can guarentee a truly immersive experience at The Cage. Not only is The Cage now decorated and filled with timeless, period furniture each with their own stories, but it also houses a collection of artifacts telling the history of the use of Cages and Lockups, the history of St Osyth and its witch trials, and the folklore, legends and ghost stories of The Cage. We showcase over 50 historic artifacts and curiosities throughout the home including those relating to cages and lockups, constablaries, witch trials, witchcraft, magick and the occult, as well as paranormal memorabelia of The Cage. Important information about your stay Booking is non-refundable. Subject to our house rules and terms and conditions. Maximum 4 guests. No children under 18 years. No parties, visitors, additional guests, tours of any kind. No pets No open fires, flames, candles, incense No smoking or vaping. No cleansing or crossing over rituals. No commercial filming (personal use, socials and YouTube is allowed) All rooms have CCTV monitoring 24/7, excluding bathrooms and bedrooms, to secure the property. Not suitable for the physically impaired - the bathroom is on the upper floor with 10 very steep stairs - contact us with your specific needs before making a booking and we can advise on how best we could accomodate. The neighbouring pub normally closes at 9pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends, but may have events with loud music from time to time, especially during holiday periods. Check their facebook page before making your booking. All stays are subject to an additional cleaning fee and a refundable security deposit. The deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days after your stay, but will be withheld if you break the house rules, damage or steal items, or if excess cleaning is required after your stay.
