Their monotube design uses an internal floating piston (IFP) that separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. This prevents oil aeration for fade-free performance when put to hard use. These non-adjustable shocks are rubber bushed in the front and poly in the rear, providing additional compliance and reduce unwanted NVH, ensuring passengers enjoy the ride as much as whoever is behind the wheel. If re-using OE Ford upper control arm, slotting the lower control arm bolt hole by ½’’ inboard (toward the engine) is required (see instructions). To avoid slotting LCA, purchase Ridetech’s optional upper control arms. Below 3” front ride height reduction, slotting of the lower control arm bolt holes isn’t sufficient for alignment.
