This is a plate in the shape of an owl. It is a small owl (called a "sparrow owl" in Swedish) but has a rather feisty spirit! The name is in Japanese, ホーホー, meaning Hoo-hoo. White tin-glaze over brown stoneware. Diameter 163 mm. The drawing of the owl is carved into the clay before glazing, and then filled in with colorants. Made in spring 2026, exhibited in my June 16 exhibition. Show more
