The Oxygen Flow Meter is made out of poly(methyl methacrylate) and food grade plastic and is designed to take the guesswork out of oxygenation. Properly measuring the amount when oxygenating with pure O2 can be difficult as most home brewers don't have a way to accurately measure how much oxygen is actually being added. This handy piece of equipment allows homebrewers to get repeatable results every time by being able easily dial in the flow rate. The flow meter comes with 1/4" MFL connections on the body with two duotight fittings ready to attach. Alternatively you can attach a swivel nut with barb and use different types of tubing. When yeast pitching temperatures are reached it is recommended that a 0.5 micron diffusion stone is used in conjunction with the flow meter. Adding pure O2 at a 1 Litre per minute flow rate for about 60 seconds in order to reach the desired 10-14 ppm dissolved oxygen. Meant to be used with 5/16" OD (8mm) Polyethylene Tubing.
