Based in Saint-Jean-de-Fos, in the heart of Hérault, Oyas Environnement, a specialist in micro-porosity, designs and manufactures ecological irrigation pottery made from microporous clay. Marketed under the Oyas® brand, these handcrafted jars, meant to be buried or planted, offer up to 70% water savings compared to traditional watering methods, by slowly diffusing moisture directly to the roots. Handcrafted in a workshop in Hérault, over one million pieces have been produced since 2014. They now irrigate gardens and vegetable patches across France, Belgium, Switzerland, and soon Germany. In 2025, the manufactory is unveiling a new generation of innovative products, still designed with respect for nature: composters for balconies or gardens, capable of nourishing soil directly within plantings, as well as Oyasis® filtering fountains, which transform tap water into clear, crystalline water.
