Fabric Colour & UV Resistance Please be aware that the colour you see on your screen may not accurately represent the actual fabric colour. Given the wide varience in monitor calibration and the fabric appearance in different light and colour combinations, it is impossible to perfectly represent fabric colour on screen. If you have any doubts about the colours, look at photos of various wings on our website to see them in different light and colour combinations or contact your local dealer to see the fabric in person. All of the cloth that we use undergoes extensive testing in prototype colour phase to ensure colourfastness, mechanical stability, porosity, and general longevity before we put it into production. Once our cloth is in production, every meter of it is rigorously inspected upon arrival in our factory, and cloth which does not pass our stringent quality control standards is returned to the manufacturer. We are frequently asked, "Which colours last the longest, or have the best UV resistance?". All of the colours that we stock score between 4 and 5 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible rating for longevity. About Custom Colours Ozone encourages you to customize your own personal colour combination for your wing. Customization generally incurs a small fee. Once you’ve decided you can send it to your local Ozone dealer to check if there is a charge and place the final order. Please note that because the glider will be built specifically for you in the Ozone factory, payment must be received before production can begin. RISERS The LiteSpeed Risers are available in Standard 12mm or Light 8mm Dynema. The Light risers are about 150g lighter than the standard. Both feature super smooth Ronstan pulleys, a heavy-duty cam buckle for the trimmers, and a Split-A-Riser configuration. OZONE LITESPEED The LiteSpeed is a highly versatile, lightweight mini-wing that features the latest in Shark Nose Technology and Ultralite construction. Its modern design incorporates the same technology that powers our highest performance XC and competition wings, packaged into a user-friendly intermediate mini-wing. The LiteSpeed is not just a light version of another wing. Although it began development as a lightweight Zero, the final result is a new design with significant improvements: Improved launch characteristics Tuned arc for optimum sail cohesion and roll authority Improved sail tension Latest lightweight construction technology Overall more agile and dynamic feel THE WING The LiteSpeed is equally comfortable in light or strong wind conditions, and is ideal for hike & fly, fun descents, and soaring / thermalling adventures. The 17m size weighs in at around 2.3kg, which will appeal to pilots looking for speed in the mountains, or wherever your travels may take you. The LiteSpeed’s weight and pack volume is incredibly low for a wing with this many cells, thanks to more than a decade of Ozone lightweight R&D. THE PILOT The LiteSpeed is suitable for paraglider pilots of intermediate skill level and above when flown at moderate wing loadings. More experienced pilots who wish to fly at higher wing-loadings will enjoy the speed and precision of this wing at its full potential. Despite the LiteSpeed’s accessibility, it is not suitable for beginner pilots. The LiteSpeed is ideal for mini-wing pilots with some experience, who are looking for an elevated level of sensitivity and glider feedback. SPEED Speed was a major concern during the two-year development of this wing, but our primary focus was on creating a cohesive platform with a large, usable speed range whilst keeping weight and pack-volume to a minimum. Optimised trimming, sail tension and arc, combined with intelligently used lightweight materials and Ultralite construction techniques have all contributed to the improved inflation characteristics and a more compact and agile feel in the air. CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN Made with a combination of the well-proven Porcher Skytex 27gr and Dominco N20D sail cloths, the LiteSpeed’s ultralight character is not compromised in terms of durability. This wing will last for many years if cared for normally. It is equipped with trimmers and a speed system that can be used individually or together. The patented Ozone SharkNose profile is renowned for its performance at a wide range of angles of attack. Combined with the LiteSpeed’s trim and speed system, the result is a large, fast and solid useable speed range with high levels of stability at low angles of attack, along with improved stall / spin resistance at higher angles of attack. The SharkNose aides every aspect of the design with improved cohesion, handling, speed and glide performance. The end result is a unique, high-performance mini-wing that remains accessible and easy to use. VERSATILITY The LiteSpeed balances the high levels of efficiency necessary for soaring and thermalling flights, with the speed, agility and roll authority required for dynamic handling, diving turns and fun descents. We have enjoyed flying the LiteSpeed in a wide range of conditions, from coring thermals with larger standard paragliders on light days, to soaring in moderate to strong winds and carving down the mountain after a hike-up. Please note that we do not recommend flying any highly-loaded wing in accelerated configurations in turbulent or strong conditions, especially when near to the ground.
