Built from the bones of Ben’s go-to surface pattern, the Cod Popper, this version sees an extended body coming out from the shank over the inverted hook point of these special hooks. The fly is tied with splayed legs to imitate a frog, and with a larger body section. The best part of this great surface pattern is that rides hook point up after the first strip thanks to the hook’s design.
