P-47D-11-RE Sno 42-75429 WZ*S ‘Eileen‘ of the 84th Fighter Squadron of the 78th Fighter Group, 8th Air force flown by 1st Lt Frank Oiler based at Duxford, England in early Summer 1 944.1st Lt Frank Oiler finished his tour with 73 missions and three hundred hours of combat flight time. Oiler spent 53 of those missions in the P-47 Thunderbolt. He flew and additional 20 missions in P-51's and was credited with one aerial and three ground victories. Show more
