The woman seeking to be healed while reaching for the Savior's garment hem is a touching story. It is a story of a woman who had put her faith in doctors and procedures for them to only make things worse. She happens to be in a place where her people's so-called Messiah is there. He doesn't match the most popular Messianic description and is quite controversial. If I were her the trauma of my acts of faith hurting me might have stayed my hand from reaching towards the Savior. But she still found herself reaching, just for the hem. I am not sure what really happened that day, but I like to think that she likely didn't want to act in faith, but the Savior's power blessed her to have the healing needed to act in faith. That faith being so small, barely noticeable, yet a sacrifice to give. This story is of the Savior giving someone the power, desire, and change of nature needed to seek Him. That is the kind of power we all need. At our lowest of lows, sometimes we pray to be enabled to seek Him. Show more
