Original woodcut from the Hélène Chez Archimède suite. Picasso produced the drawings in 1925 on Vollard's request to illustrate the play by André Suarès, but the project got postpo ned until 1955. Published by Nouveau Cercle Parisien du Livre in Paris in an overall edition of 240. This piece comes from the special edition of 100, numbered in roman numerals on the justification page, with two extra sets of the woodcuts printed on blue and cream papers. Show more
