Pachycereus pringlei is the tallest cactus in the world, capable of growing into a massive tree in the wild that rivals the famous Saguaro. Even as a young houseplant, it has a thi ck, heavy base and a commanding presence, with distinct ribs and greyish-white spines. It is often confused with the Saguaro but grows faster and is generally more adaptable to cultivation. To thrive indoors, this giant needs intense, full sun; without it, growth will be stalled. It requires a coarse, rocky soil mix and a stable pot to accommodate its strong root system. Water deeply but very infrequently, mimicking the "feast and famine" cycle of desert rainstorms, ensuring the soil is completely dry in between.
