The Paddy Buckley Round is one of the toughest mountain running challenges in the UK, taking place in Snowdonia (Eryri) in North Wales. It involves summiting 47 peaks over roughly 62 miles, with around 28,000 feet of ascent, all within a 24-hour time limit. Like other classic rounds, there is no fixed route, leaving runners to choose their own lines between peaks while following a traditional sequence. The challenge is made especially difficult by complex navigation, rugged terrain, and frequent pathless sections, where poor visibility can quickly become dangerous. Weather in Snowdonia is famously unpredictable, adding another layer of difficulty to already demanding climbs and descents. Fatigue builds rapidly over the long distance and constant elevation change, testing both physical resilience and mental focus. Even among experienced mountain runners, the Paddy Buckley Round is regarded as a serious and formidable endurance test -This product is a personalisable print.
