Product Story Benjamin Franklin is the founding father who winks at us, that ambitious urban entrepreneur who seems made of flesh rather than marble ... ~ Walter Isaacson (Benjamin Franklin, An American Life) Franklin was a successful inventor, writer, publisher, diplomat, drafter/signer of our Declaration of Independence, abolitionist, entrepreneur, and networker. Another true Renaissance man and Mission Man. Our Benjamin Collection is an intentional nod (and wink!) to good ole Ben, who would have felt right at home grabbing his namesake collection as his EDC (everyday carry for your Benjamins). In fact, social critic David Brook called Franklin our founding Yuppie. Intentionality was our emphasis, from the hand-selected, marbled, twice-tanned leather (both chrome and vegetable tanning) to the rich yet simplistic lines visible in each Benjamin leather good. We can imagine Mr. Franklin proudly carrying his collection on the streets of Philadelphia, Paris, or anywhere in the world his business or exploits might take him. Where will your adventures take you with the Benjamin by your side? More Info From time to time, even the most tech-engaged among us still value the analog sensation of putting pen to paper. For some, it is a daily practice. Screens of endless links, banners, and other blinking seductions are Grand Central Station at rush hour. The blank page, by comparison, is a zen garden where clear thought and fresh inspiration can bloom. For that, we've built a temple - a simple, stately full-grain leather folio that keeps a standard letter-size notepad, other documents or files, and a pen close at hand. Lined with pigskin suede, our padfolio features an inventive leather flap that snaps into place, securing the notepad at the top. Simple. Refined. Classic.
