Lead Dives | Mentor Others | Become a Pro For divers who have completed the recreational track and are ready to go pro. eLearningThe course includes two separate eLearning components: Dive Theory and Divemaster. These online modules cover the academic foundation needed to become a dive professional, including physics, physiology, equipment, dive planning, and leadership responsibilities. Complete them at your own pace alongside your practical training. TrainingDivemaster training is comprehensive and performance-based. You’ll work closely with your instructor to master water skills to demonstration quality, refine your rescue techniques, and develop strong leadership abilities. Key components include: Supervising and assisting with dive activities Interning on recreational-level courses Conducting dive briefings and skill demonstrations Managing dive site logistics and projects Completing timed swims, rescues, and stamina exercises You and your instructor will create a personalized schedule that fits your availability, learning pace, and goals. Course Cost IncludesYour tuition includes all instruction, both eLearning components, and use of tanks and weights. You’ll also receive free air fills for the duration of your training. This ensures you can fully focus on building your skills without additional rental costs for the essentials. Additional CostsAdditional expenses may include boat trips required for internship components. You must also own your own full set of scuba gear (excluding tanks and weights). If needed, gear can be purchased at Santa Barbara Aquatics with a 10% student discount. PrerequisitesTo enroll, you must meet the following requirements: Rescue Diver certification Current CPR and First Aid certification Minimum 60 logged dives Completed diver medical physical with a doctor’s sign-off 18 years of age or older
