If using a larger motor, you can purchase an optional trim tab for the stern, which prevents the stern from sinking and the bow from rising, especially when driving alone The boat’s high and heavy keel is reinforced with steel rods cast into solid resin. This design makes it leak-proof while keeping the boat's center of gravity low and providing excellent directional stability when rowing. The steel rods also prevent wear on the bottom, even if the surface layer wears away completely due to heavy abrasion. In such cases, the resin casting prevents leaks from spreading to other parts of the boat. If such wear occurs, the keel should be repaired with fibreglass, resin, and gel coating. Both the exterior and interior surfaces of the boat are coated with a thick, hard, and glossy gel coating, which is also easy to repair in case of an accident. The smooth surface comes directly from the mold, while the rough laminated fibreglass typically seen in rowing boats is hidden inside the 2-shell hull. The 2025 model offers two colour options: Classic Green or Deep Blue. The Blue Syvänne-colour was first introduced as a limited edition in 2024.
