With its sturdy character and traditional design, this painted 'Stag' writing bureau provides a compact workstation that will make a great addition to an office or study. The writi ng flap opens to reveal a practical and attractive workspace held in place by specially designed hinges. There are several compartments for storing letters and stationery, and underneath the worktop are three small, and two full-size drawers. There is a key provided to lock the flap. The writing pad is in good condition; however, the gold trim at the front has faded slightly, as shown in the photographs. We have painted this bureau in a matt black colour which looks great when contrasted with the traditional brass 'stag' handles on the drawers. Constructed from some solid sections of cherry wood, and compressed material with a hardwood veneer, this bureau offers durability and longevity, making it a smart investment for any home. The back and the drawer bases are plywood.The dimensions in brackets show the total depth and height of the writing surface with the lid open.
