The Palette Console Table is formed from intersecting, curving shapes, with an organic top contour inspired by an artist’s paint palette. Soft, non-geometric forms and generous rou nding define the piece, while interlocking elements are resolved through careful joinery without visible fixings. Offered in both Limed Oak and Scorched Oak, each piece is made from sustainably sourced British oak and sealed with wax to create a subtle surface sheen. In the Limed Oak finish, a natural chemical reaction is used to gently darken the tone of the wood, a traditional process historically employed to protect timber furniture. In Scorched Oak, the surface is blackened using a controlled flame that carbonises and seals the wood, exposing and accentuating the natural grain. In both finishes, the process responds to the grain and sap content of the oak, resulting in tonal variation and surface character unique to each piece. Show more
