Product Code: PCCMPN: 1803-B40 The Palmer-Maloney Counting Cell is a precision counting chamber designed specifically for the enumeration of nanoplankton and small phytoplankton under high magnification. Similar in concept to the Sedgewick-Rafter counting chamber, the Palmer-Maloney cell features a shallow circular chamber that allows the use of 40× to 45× objectives (400–450× total magnification), making it ideal for counting organisms too small to be accurately assessed in a standard Sedgewick-Rafter cell. It is widely used in limnology, oceanography, water quality monitoring, wastewater analysis, and phytoplankton research. Designed specifically for nanoplankton and small phytoplankton enumeration. 0.4 mm shallow chamber allows use of higher-power microscope objectives than a Sedgewick-Rafter cell. 0.1 mL calibrated volume provides accurate and reproducible cell counts. Precision-machined stainless steel chamber resists corrosion and wear. Two loading channels simplify sample introduction while minimizing trapped air bubbles. Flat-bottom chamber provides excellent optical clarity. Compatible with standard compound microscopes using 40×–45× objectives.
